Treasures…

So we recently purchased yet another load of random clothing and accessories! (we just couldn’t say no!!)
And in it we’ve found some amazing treasures!

This beautiful writing case is a treasure worth keeping! The inside is in pristine condition and has the original blotting and paper and pen! And also this…

I’m absolutely an completely in love and do not think I can ever get rid of it! Hand embroidered and completely beautiful, perfect condition - the colors are amazing!
We’re also completely stocked up on hats and fascinators, vintage gloves (leather and fabric) all amazingly detailed and absolutely fabulous!
We can’t wait for our photo shoot next week to show them all off…

Monday Mood Board

It's official, I’m going to start my own little trend to help me get motivated!
After a day of work, I’m going to come back and get myself in the creative mood ready for the rest of the week by having a good ‘ol internet troll and choosing the most inspiring images…
Now usually I work on a Monday, but today I've been restoring my health after this flu has got the better of me and I've been trying to work through it for the fair yesterday! So I've had plenty of time to think… and this is what I've decided!
So here it is! The first Monday mood board.

looking good!

The 2 girls modelling the new E&W eco-couture  dresses, I will post up close pictures of the dresses soon :)

Something New…

We had a fab day at Something Kinda Vintage wedding fair today…
Great atmosphere, loads of people and the girls looking gorgeous in E&W couture.
It makes me so excited to get making!
Next, we are tackling Vintage Sunday, taking place in Bath on 1st April but not before our photo-shoot next week to showcase all the latest creations and taking part in Cowbridge Fashion Week ‘Fringe’ showing how to and helping students to up-cycle and re-cycle their own clothing into something eco-couture!
Lots of love

It’s all in the details…

So make them something special :)
I stashed some  fabric away a while ago because I am absolutely in love, and yellow is my color!! I’ve been thinking what to make out of it for about 6 months now and when your thinking that much over one dress you get the details down to a T…

My main inspiration for the dress has come from An Affair to Remember when Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant visit Janou in Italy…

I have changed a lot on the design of the dress - adding in my obsession with peter pan collars, pin tucks and petticoats in particular! (all the P’s) I absolutely love how it is coming along and if I hadn't ‘misplaced’ my twin needle I would have had it finished today!

My favourite bit in particular is the sleeve ties - At the moment they completely make the dress! And to put mind at ease - not one thing has been bought new for the design of the dress. The main fabric is vintage - the button stand, collar and sleeve ties are an old scarf, the buttons and the petticoat ready to go under are also vintage.
100% Eco made dress. Happy Days! ♥
