My re-designed version of Eva! 

Eva is a chiffon and lace dress

The delicate lace bodice has capped sleeves and a full button opening down the back. 

Eye lash fringed edging is hand sewn to the neck line, sleeves and at the waist. 

There is a silk wrap around waist tie made to match the color of the under dress.

The chiffon is gathered and full at the bottom to give an elegant floating skirt.

Pair Eva with our champagne under dress for a vintage feel.

Ashley is our wonderful new bespoke designer in store, designing and making amazing crafted headpieces and veils for all you lovely brides…

‘With Love From… Bobbin’ is a luxury range of handmade bridal headwear and accessories for the modern vintage bride and bridesmaids. From the deco hair band to the 1940’s inspired cap with optional veil, Ashley uses fine silks, antique lace and embellishments to create a unique look for your big day. A bespoke design service is also offered where lace and trims are sourced specifically to match ‘the’ dress, incorporating heirlooms or trinkets for that truly personal touch.

Prior to establishing With Love From Bobbin, Ashley worked in fabric buying and sourcing for a number of high street brands including Coast and still designs textiles for the high street today. Now based in Wales, Ashley is rekindling her love for fine fabrics and antique trims to create a range which encompasses the glamour and romance of a bygone era.

and I’ve made my mum a fitted sweetheart neck ‘wiggle’ dress from recycled materials! Vintage up-dos and fur stoles all round!

Good afternoon everyone!

My laptop has finally been fixed and I am back on the blog posts! Its been a catch up few weeks - we have sorted and cleaned, fixed and stitched and now we are back on form.

We have a massive project at the moment that we need all the support we can get! So please get your orders in, pick out your party dresses, tell your friends, like us on facebook and spread the E&W eco word!

This month is wedding fever - with a dress to finish, 3 bouquets and 23 button holes to make! I will be posting the wedding dress as I am doing it, I absolutely love the design and although it is not ‘eco’ it has a distinctive vintage style and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

This month we are also churning out the shorts ready for summer! Dip dyed, tie dyed, printed, embroidered and embellished! We ♥ shorts

A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous

After a bit of a dilemma with a few little niggles for this photo shoot - everything came together in the end and I couldn’t be happier!

Although I don’t have all the photo’s to sort through yet, I do have some that I have taken and a few that I absolutely love!

‘The Famous Fifties’

100% eco, 100% re-cycled, 100% gorgeous 50s style dresses and other bits to attempt to bring forth the eco-revolution in style!

I have a new massive appreciation of Hairdressers (especially this one) for literally running the shoot at the same time as making these 2 look amazing! I think everyone should go have 50’s hair rolls put in and the place to do it is Coast Hair Studio in St Brides Major!!

And a huge gratitude owed to the girls for braving the good ol welsh weather - in between hail storms and rain storms and 8degrees, they made it work!

So…

Holidays it is then! When I return home I will have the rest of these photos to look forward to sieving through and I cant wait to get them out to all the fabulous places that want to take them!

Treasures…

So we recently purchased yet another load of random clothing and accessories! (we just couldn’t say no!!)

And in it we’ve found some amazing treasures!

This beautiful writing case is a treasure worth keeping! The inside is in pristine condition and has the original blotting and paper and pen! And also this…

I’m absolutely an completely in love and do not think I can ever get rid of it! Hand embroidered and completely beautiful, perfect condition - the colors are amazing!

We’re also completely stocked up on hats and fascinators, vintage gloves (leather and fabric) all amazingly detailed and absolutely fabulous!

We can’t wait for our photo shoot next week to show them all off…

It’s all in the details…

So make them something special :)

I stashed some  fabric away a while ago because I am absolutely in love, and yellow is my color!! I’ve been thinking what to make out of it for about 6 months now and when your thinking that much over one dress you get the details down to a T…

My main inspiration for the dress has come from An Affair to Remember when Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant visit Janou in Italy…

I have changed a lot on the design of the dress - adding in my obsession with peter pan collars, pin tucks and petticoats in particular! (all the P’s) I absolutely love how it is coming along and if I hadn't ‘misplaced’ my twin needle I would have had it finished today!

My favourite bit in particular is the sleeve ties - At the moment they completely make the dress! And to put mind at ease - not one thing has been bought new for the design of the dress. The main fabric is vintage - the button stand, collar and sleeve ties are an old scarf, the buttons and the petticoat ready to go under are also vintage.

Christmas at the Creeds, with the poor dog roped in to giving sleigh rides for kids, he loves the festive cheer!

OMG.

I’m completely in love with this. 

This just sums up everything about vintage fashion that I love so much - incredible work and amazing detail. 

I should have been born in the 30’s so I could have worn this in the 50’s. That would have been ideal.

I love Happy Days when they get things like this in! Luuuussshhh
